Epoch The Transcend Duet Book 2 edition by Jewel E Ann Literature Fiction eBooks
Overall, the two books are a four star.I'm going to review the whole story and this might get a little ranty, but without spoilers.
After the epic-ness of the way book one ended, this was rather anticlimactic. It hit this peak and then....nothing. What happened?
I didn't want Swazye to end up with either Nate or Griffin. The relationships she had with both of them were messed up.
I don't normally like love triangles. But this didn't feel like one. Nate was never really vying for Swayze's affection or love. Griffin was and Swayze was desperately trying to hold onto Griffin.
I also don't normally like heroines who are self loathing. Swayze acknowledges that she is insecure and knows how stupid it is. If someone knows their insecurities are unfounded, I can tolerate it more.
Swayze is overall a likable character. Smart, caring, responsible, and driven. But her insecurities make her immature.
Griffin is also likable. A hot, smart mechanic. Whose caring, attentive, and confident. But where Swayze's immaturity is driven by self doubt, his is driven by self confidence. It gets so bad that it bleeds into conceded-ness and he becomes this passive aggressive baby.
They fight ALL THE TIME. I got to point of thinking "what are these two people holding on to?". I really thought they needed to break up. They were too young to be engaged. It was obvious from the stupid fights they kept having.
Then there's Nate.
Nate. Nate. Nate. Nate. Nate.
He's an interesting character. Sad, lonely, smart, handsome. Driven by the loss of his two loves and his tiny baby girl. But his obsession with Daisy was nauseating. He was trying to recreate what he lost through Swayze and completely ignored the fact that he needed to grieve his dead wife.
He really needed to grow the heck up. Swayze may be immature and insecure, but she's 21. She's supposed to be stupid and confused. What was his excuse? He was using Swayze as a crutch and it got weird.
I just wanted all three to go their separate ways. And fast.
The reincarnation part of the story was captivating. I wanted to know so bad what happened to Daisy. But it was so anticlimactic that I just don't know how I feel about the whole thing anymore.
I don't want to spoil the ending, so if you're going to read the book, then don't keep reading this review.
*****Warning! SPOILERS AHEAD!******
**** I did NOT like the fact that Griffin killed Doug. Why would the author do that? That's not freaking romantic. I didn't understand why she was having Swayze go over there to kill him either? Like, Wtf? And then Swayze thinks that whichever guy KILLED for her is supposed to be her man??? BARFFFFFF!!!
That literally ruined it for me. I could not see Griffin in a good light anymore. It would have been much better to have Swayze remember a piece to put Doug behind bars. Do Daisy and Erica a real service. But no....turn a lovable character into a murderer. I give no craps how "justified" it is. It was a cheap ending. As a matter of fact, them find their way back to each other through "fate" was just plain cheeeeeezy.
*********END SPOILER*********
The epilogue was good though.
If you read the first, then you should read this one, but just be warned that it's not as good as the first.

Epoch The Transcend Duet Book 2 edition by Jewel E Ann Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I'm not sure I'll be able to convey my feelings for this book, but I'll try. First off, wow. Such a simple word with so much strength behind it. This book... It stole my breath, it made my heart ache, and it made me believe that love transcends time. I'm not just talking about love between a man and a wife... boyfriend, (real or fake) and girlfriend. Love comes in many forms, it's not only held precious by lovers or family, but also by friends. Love will always be there, even when the person you loved isn't. Love never truly fades.
Jewel did right by Nate, Griffin, and Swayze's story. She made it so each person involved got their happy ending. I know as a reader, you want all those loose ends to be tied up, and they were. In a very pretty, heartbreaking, piecing-you-back-together-again, package.
I love the books that Jewel writes, so starting Transcend was a no-brainer for me. But what I didn't bargain for, was how much it sucked me in. So much so, that I keep refreshing my kindle the night before Epoch's release because I. HAD. TO. KNOW. And boy, by the end. I knew.
I'm not going to give you a play by play or spoil this experience by hashing out what happened when. But I'm telling you right now, you need to read both Transcend and Epoch. You need to experience the feelings, the hope, and the struggles these characters go through to get where they're meant to be. (less)

Every reader has an author who is an instant one click and Jewel E Ann is that author for me. In her newest release Epoch she has literally left me speechless. I am utterly in awe of this brilliant and emotional book that exposes the vulnerability of two men and one woman.
Jewels writing always pulls me in because I want to see where story is going to go and this story had me glued to every word. This story will grip you emotionally, I could feel some of the characters pain, I could see the two sides of Swayze crossroads and I knew the predicament she was in. The decisions she has to make, what she has to go true to find her self, was hard to read and I cried for her and I felt her pain.
“You are unequivocally the greatest moment of my life.”
This book came to me at a very personal time in my life when I was trying to learn and figure who I want to be, so that may be why it was so profound to me. I think that anyone can take something away from this book. It may not affect you the same way but it will make you think about LOVE in a more complex way.
What Love really means to you.
What you do for Love and friendship.
I want a bucket too and a grocery store guy ❤️
I’m a prisoner to his touch, fighting to arch my back.
PS One thing I really love about this book it that it was written from the perspective of the three characters.
It was very nice to see everyones thoughts specially Griffin’s. This gorgeous men stole my heart in this book!
The epilogue was...3>
Congratulations Jewel on yet another amazing read. Keep em in coming girl
